Editorial Policy
What Celliara does
Celliara is an editorial review and comparison site for at-home skincare and wellness devices. We review available documentation, regulatory records, published research, current offers, warranties, and category alternatives. Celliara’s reviews are research-based by default. When we conduct a hands-on evaluation, the article identifies what was evaluated, the scope of that evaluation, and how the product was obtained when relevant. Receiving a product does not by itself mean it was tested.
Our content is general consumer information, not medical advice, diagnosis, or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
How sources are labeled
- Manufacturer or retailer sources may support product identity, specifications, price, instructions, warranty, and claims attributed to that company.
- Regulatory sources are linked to the exact agency record. FDA approved, cleared, authorized, registered, and listed are not treated as interchangeable terms.
- Clinical sources are linked to the identifiable study, registry entry, or DOI. We identify important limitations and manufacturer sponsorship when known.
- Celliara analysis is our comparison or interpretation of cited information; it is not presented as product testing or a clinical finding.
A source list supports transparency, but material clinical, regulatory, safety, and performance statements should also carry nearby attribution or a citation.
Scores and rankings
Under Celliara’s current methodology, new or revalidated Celliara Scores must be reproducible from a versioned evidence record. The score combines six factors — Results & Effectiveness, Product Quality & Capability, Ownership Experience, Usability & Routine Fit, Value for Money, and Purchase Confidence — into a single overall rating. Affiliate compensation, advertising economics, sponsorship, and other commercial incentives are excluded from scoring. Buyer-facing facts such as price, warranty, returns, support, and purchase-channel clarity may be considered where relevant to Value for Money or Purchase Confidence. Missing evidence is not inferred. The same six-factor framework is applied across products, with relevant category context considered where appropriate. Unknown or limited evidence is not converted into invented values; uncertainty is carried separately through Evidence Confidence and may restrict the strength of claims or recommendations.
Affiliate relationships and editorial independence
Celliara may earn a commission when a reader purchases through an affiliate link. This does not change the reader’s price. Brands cannot purchase a score, ranking position, recommendation, or favorable coverage. Commercial pages provide a clear affiliate commission disclosure in connection with monetized recommendations and links.
What we do not do
- We do not imply that Celliara used or tested a product when no documented testing occurred, and we do not treat receiving a product, or personal use, as proof of clinical efficacy, regulatory status, safety, or population-wide outcomes.
- We do not present a manufacturer claim as an independently established fact.
- We do not use FDA terms interchangeably or imply that clearance is an endorsement.
- We do not guarantee results or present general information as individualized medical advice.
- Under Celliara’s current methodology, new or revalidated numeric scores require a reproducible evidence record.
Review, corrections, and updates
We update content when material product information, pricing, regulatory status, or relevant evidence changes, or when we confirm an error. Material corrections should be recorded with a date and explanation. To report an issue, contact us with the page, disputed statement, and supporting source.
