Our purpose

Celliara turns complex beauty-technology information into clear buyer analysis. We establish what a product is, examine the evidence behind material claims, explain the tradeoffs in plain English, and make a recommendation only when the support is adequate.

Our method is research-based by default. A recommendation is an editorial judgment, not a claim that Celliara personally used or tested the product.

Our five-step process

Establish the exact product

We identify the brand, model, intended use, current specifications, instructions, price, warranty, support terms, and relevant product version. Evidence for a related model is not silently transferred to the product under review.

Match each claim to the right evidence

Manufacturer documentation may support identity, specifications, instructions, warranty, price, and clearly attributed manufacturer claims. Regulatory statements require the exact agency record. Clinical or performance conclusions require relevant study evidence and its limitations. Retail listings and affiliate feeds do not prove clinical, safety, or regulatory claims.

Separate product evidence from category evidence

Evidence that a technology or category can work provides context. It does not prove that every product using that technology delivers the same dose, performance, safety profile, or outcome. Material product claims remain product-specific.

Translate evidence into buyer meaning

We explain why a feature matters, who a product may suit, what routine it requires, what the tradeoffs are, which claims remain uncertain, and whether a higher price appears justified. We distinguish sourced facts from editorial inference.

Make and maintain the recommendation

When the evidence supports a useful conclusion, we make a clear recommendation. We revisit content when material changes to evidence, regulatory status, product identity, price, availability, or other relevant information are identified. Confirmed errors are corrected under our Editorial Policy.

Research and physical testing

Celliara reviews are research-based by default. When we conduct a hands-on evaluation, we disclose it explicitly.

If Celliara physically evaluates a product hands-on, the article identifies that evaluation and its exact scope, and discloses if the product was supplied by the manufacturer, brand, affiliate partner, or another commercial partner. Receiving a product does not by itself mean it was tested. We never say or imply that we tested, used, tried, or personally experienced a product unless that hands-on evaluation is documented for the exact product and article. A firsthand observation is never treated as proof of clinical efficacy, regulatory status, safety, or population-wide outcomes.

Scores, money, and independence

Under Celliara’s current scoring standard, new or revalidated Celliara Scores must be reproducible from a valid evidence record under the current Scoring Methodology. Affiliate commissions, advertising, and brand relationships are excluded from scoring and cannot determine evidence conclusions, rankings, or recommendations.
